Why This Resource Exists
Public access does not mean one database holds the whole answer. Marion County uses a state-run regional jail in another county. WVDCR separates jail and prison searches. The sheriff may hold an arrest report, while circuit or magistrate court holds the controlling order. Parole Services, county probation, BOP, and ICE each cover narrower situations. We organize official searches, record-request steps, and agency roles so readers can follow the custody path without treating a missing roster entry as proof of release.
What We Organize
The coverage follows real Marion County release questions and the systems that can answer them.
- The home page’s full released-person search and release-record request path.
- Separate help for release-date calculations, VINE status checks, and post-release supervision.
- Pages for NCRJCF, WVDCR, Marion courts, the sheriff, and specialized federal or registry systems.
- Official routes for requesting an existing movement record or booking photograph.
Limits of This Site
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to Marion County, a West Virginia sheriff, WVDCR, any jail or court, or any federal agency.
- We cannot release, hold, or transfer anyone.
- We cannot post bond, arrange visits, or send funds.
- We cannot provide legal advice.
- We cannot confirm that every agency detail remains current.
Only the record-holding court, sheriff, corrections department, or federal custodian can give an official answer about custody, charges, movement, or release.
Search Partner Disclosure
Some search boxes are supplied by outside providers that set their own prices and control their own results. If a visitor follows one of those tools and buys a service, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the public reference pages free, but it does not give us control over a partner’s records, billing, or data practices.
